For Immediate Release

The Health Care Foundation has awarded their 2025 grant awards totaling $337,304.00 to the following community recipients and programs.

  • Children’s Discovery Museum: $15,000 to support discover, learn and play programs, providing opportunities for children and families in our community time to gather and play.

  • Cowlitz Free Clinic/Community Health Partners: $130,000 to support operations of the Cowlitz Free Medical Clinic providing urgent medical care and short-term management of chronic care to uninsured adults in the Cowlitz County community. Additionally, funds will be used to provide dental and denture care to their clients.

  • Cowlitz 2 Fire and Rescue: $21,622 to purchase a Powered Stair Chair to assist first responders’ access and transport clients.

  • Fish of Cowlitz County: $56,000 to provide emergency health care and food for clients within our community.

  • HEVIN (Help Every Veteran in Need): $13,000 to build and install wheelchair ramps for local veterans.

  • Lifeworks: $7,319 for the purchase and installation of an ADA door opener for their facility.

  • FISH of Cowlitz County: $56,000 to assist needy community members pay for emergency prescriptions, dental care and some medical services.

  • Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Cowlitz County: $30,000 to provide vision and hearing care for low-income and homeless people in our community.

  • Lower Columbia CAP: $4,353 to purchase AED units to be installed at various senior centers throughout our community.

  • PeaceHealth: $50,000 to assist St. John purchase and install a Linear Accelerator which will provide improved options for cancer treatments.

  • United Way of Columbia County: $10,000 to support the building of a pickleball court in Columbia County, providing options for exercise to members of the community.
